Area outage troubleshooting

If your entire living area (such as a hallway) is having connection issues, try the following troubleshooting steps:


  1. Check the nearest modem and switch to ensure they are powered on and functional
    1. Locating modems and switches
    2. Modem reference guide
    3. Switch reference guide
  2. If these steps do not fix the connectivity issues, it is possible that there are ISP issues.  Generally, if an entire building or collection of buildings is offline, it is due to ISP issues.  Please submit a support ticket to report the outage and we will post updates to the Known Outage List


If the issue is localized to a specific area (such as a group of rooms)
